The EBRO Cycle Lock is an alternating-valve system with 2 shut-off valves (butterfly valves) in one line, guaranteeing that one of the two valves is always closed.
This way, the Cycle Lock can maintain a pressure difference and can also be used as an explosion barrier.
The opening and closing of the butterfly valves can be time-controlled or triggered by a level detection in the intermediate chamber. This control system is supplied by EBRO and meets the required approvals.
The Cycle Lock can also be used to maintain a pressure difference; optionally the system can equalize the pressure in the two compartments before the valve opens. That helps to avoid pressure shocks and extra wear on the valves.
Depending on the process requirements, any valve type from the EBRO range can be used.
