The knife-gate valve type MV from Stafsjö is used for many applications. The valve has a sliding plate with a beveled edge that cuts effectively through different media. In the closed position, the sliding plate is pressed against the seat — this gives a reliable seal. This special shut-off technique makes the MV valve suitable for both liquids and dry media such as pulp, sludge, biomass, powder and different kinds of waste.
The MV is modular design and can easily be adapted to specific process conditions. Standard, the MV is delivered with a body in stainless steel or epoxy-coated nodular cast iron; but it can also be delivered in a range of high-grade materials such as Duplex, Hastelloy, SMO and Titanium.
The MV-valve is available in sizes from DN 50 to DN 1600 (2″ to 64″).
